The ear specialist did a couple of hearing tests in which earphones were used and after she inspected the physical part of my ear. With this particular specialist center I made the appointment about a week before and as soon as my appointment time was due I was already being attended to. After all the tests were done, she had a discussion with me about my hearing problem and was prompt to take my opinion into the letter she was going to write for my employment. After all the procedures, I only waited about 15 minutes to get my letter and I was on my way home.

If you are having a general procedure with any kind of specialist, look on the phone book and try the one that has appointments available or the ones that have many specialists on site, these places are usually cheaper than a single doctor at his particular office, also you are more likely to get an appointment with them than with an individual doctor.
