Description of service
I see a doctor twice yearly to update my asthma prescription and discuss any current medical questions or needs. I use a walk in clinic where I may not get the same general practitioner as before. The service is offered at $90.00 a visit to see a doctor and ask for pretty much any In-Office procedure they provide.
Review of Service
The clinic I use is always attentive to my needs, and typically seems to have very little waiting time. It rarely takes more than 15 minutes with no appointment to see a doctor. I have always been pleased with the service and have found the doctors in most regards to professional and courteous. The office is well managed, and always a nice environment,
Tips
I think walk in clinics offer mostly the same service as a consistent general practitioner would, and for a little bit cheaper. I actually like the detachment you get from having multiple doctors treat you. I feel like I get educated more regarding conditions due to hearing different opinions each time I visit. Most important in your health care though, is your own personal interest in, and management of your medical needs. All the information in the world is available to you online. You should always review everything you are being told for the best available research. Also, be aware that all doctors are subjected to marketing and referral monies from drug companies, ostensibly there will be times when a particular drug may be being prescribed to you that is not the best match. Always check into what you are taking and don't be afraid to voice your concerns.
