Description of service
I took my friends out in my jeep to do some off-road activities. It lasted for about an hour before we came upon a pile of large rocks. I decided to roll over them. Well, when I was getting off the rocks I came down, hard, on my right tire. I noticed the jeep was not driving strait, at all. I took it into my mechanic (I need a lot of repairs) and he told me it needed alignment work, and would cost about $350. I thought this was fine and left.
Review of Service
I dropped off the jeep and waited for a day, because he called to tell me that he had did all the alignment work. He said the front axel had bent upon the impact, and was fixed. I picked up the jeep and had to pay $400, this seemed like it could have been worse. I would not know because this was the first time I had ever required any alignment work to be done on my jeep. I talked to one of fellow jeep owners and found that he had to pay over $700 one time for both the front and real axel to be aligned again. So my deal did not sound horrible.
Tips
I would just like to say that this could have been avoided. But I bought a jeep, partly so I could go off-road with it. But if this is common, then repairs should be expected.
