the Cost of Jeep Repair

The brakes of my jeep had started making a lot of noise and had also become quite ineffective. Whenever the brakes were applies, the made a lot of harsh noise and also a lot of pressure had to be applied on the brake pedal. So I took it to a local stand alone garage. He mechanic replaced the brake shoes, brake oil and did some other brake related work too. I was charged $240 for the service.

I believe that the mechanic did a fairly good job. Although I did not get the work completed to my satisfaction during the very first visit, but still the service was good. After getting the car, after a couple of days I realized that there was still some problem. I went back to the mechanic who then completed the task to my satisfaction without charging anything extra. There was some problem with the clutch as well; and he rectified that fault too.

I suggest that you should never visit a company owned service centre for small problems. They always try to squeeze the maximum amount of money from the customer. Local garages suffice only f the problem is a minor one. I the cost involved is quite large, do take a second opinion.
