Description of service
One fine day, I get in my Jeep and I cannot shift it! What the heck? I know nothing about cars and I am a single woman, so I had to call my car service to have my Jeep towed to a service station.
Once the Jeep was towed and the mechanics diagnosed the problem, I was told I needed a whole new transmission. I was really disappointed about this and even more disappointed about the price, thirty-nine hundred dollars! That was a lot of cash for me to have to cough up out of nowhere. Oh well, what are you going to do right?
Review of Service
I feel like I received very good service. My Jeep now runs really well and I feel confident in the repairs. Since I took it to the dealership, I feel a bit more comfortable that they did not take advantage of me not knowing anything about cars. My complaints are how much it cost to replace the transmission and how long it took. I had to wait over a week and a half before repairs were done, which made it really difficult getting to and from work.
Tips
I think I would tell anyone to do some research on local repair shops and also check out the Better Business Bureau to make sure the repair shop is on the up and up. You should also ask friends and co-workers who they use for car repairs. I really wish I had bought an extended warranty on my Jeep, then it would not have cost as much. You live and learn I guess.
