Description of service
We had taken our Jeep out camping with some family. We started to notice the Jeep was running rough and decided to have it checked when we got back into town. The repair shop charged a $50 diagnostic fee, the repair to the differential was $350, and of course the labor was another $100.
Review of Service
The quality of the service was excellent. When we took the Jeep into the shop they were able to immediately get it checked, they called me an hour later and told me they needed to repair the rear differential and whether i wanted them to make the repair or not. The mechanic was quite knowledgable and was thorough in explaining the repair to me. Once they began working on the Jeep i got it back the next day. Nobody wants to pay that much to fix their vehicle but it needed to be done. I think this was a great price for the service i got.
Tips
Aside from participating in activities that will damage your vehicle, make sure to check mulitple shops before committing to one. If you have a regular mechanic that will diagnose the problem without a fee, that would be ideal. Most repair shops will charge a diagnostic fee which pretty much leaves you no other option but to get your vehicle repaired by them.
