Description of service
My Jeep Wrangler was not performing as well as it had when i purchased it new. I was getting worse than normal gas milage and the engine performance was just sluggish. I took it into my mechanic so he can take a look at it and make any repairs that may be needed. The $300 broke down like this, $125 for the catalytic converter, $10 for new spark plugs, $15 for a new air filter, $50 for the diagnostic, and the other $100 in labor.
Review of Service
The service was great, i had no idea that my catalytic converter needed to be replaced and my mechanic was able to identify that immediately. He knew that was the problem but still did a full check of my Jeep to make sure everthing was working properly. The best part is that he was able to quckly identify the problem, repair it, and get me back ont he road quickly. I felt the price was pretty steep and that perhaps i could have done some of the work myself, but in the end i would prefer that he handle it and make sure that i dont have any problems. I have already seen a change in my engine performance and i am not receiving my normal gas milage.
Tips
Never take your car repairs lightly, any time you are seeing a change in the performance, immediately take your vehicle into the repair shop. $300 now can turn into thousands if you wait and let the problem get worse.
