Description of service
The ignition on my Nissan Pickup truck went bad and I had to have a new switch installed. It took two days for them to order the correct part and install it. Installation took about 30 minutes. The switch cost 68.00 and the rest was labor. I then was charged the price of a new key ($12.00) This was not included in the repair.
Review of Service
The cost of the service. I feel, was a bit high for the time it took to fix the switch and the cost of the part. I also didn't like having to wait for two days but I had no choice. They should have had the part in stock as they advertised they dealt in repairs of the truck. Would I have this service done again, well yes as I would need the car but I would be cautious having it done with this dealer. In no way, was this a shady auto repair place and I must say I was given price upfront. No surprises. This I believe was a good service even if pricey. They would be comparable to other auto shops.
Tips
If you need auto repair service and it is not an emergency, call the better business bureau and check them out. Find out if they are bonded and licensed. Ask friends if they have ever used this particular auto repair shop. Have written estimate up front and make sure nothing additional is done unless you authorize it.
