Description of service
My car had 100k miles on it and the shocks and struts clearly needed to be replaced. It is a big job unfortunately so most places I took it to wanted to do more work costing more money but I found a place that would replace front and rear for a good price and align the vehicle at the same time at no cost.
Review of Service
Since I had looked around at what was going to be done for what price I was not surprised by additional repairs. It rides smoother and handles better on the freeway with the alignment. Service was a bit slow but I was not in a hurry and it was located well enough to keep busy. The alignment would have been about $70 done by itself and was overdue as on tire had begun to wear oddly. I appreciate this free service.
Tips
Make sure you know if they are charging for a checkup or if they are looking at a certain part free of charge. Sometimes you can spend $50-100 just to have them try to diagnose a problem. Don't feel bad about not giving someone your business just because they looked at your car for you. You have the right to look around and refuse a costly repair if you prefer. Also never admit that you have no clue what is going on regarding your car. Keep quiet if you really have no clue.
