I had my universal joint replaced, my oil changed, and my tires rotated for $300. The materials were all included. The oil, oil filter, and the universal joint.
Review of Service
Service was great! Fast and friendly. I had absolutely no problems with the mechanic. He told me what was wrong with my vehicle and what it would cost. The mechanic did not try to sell anything extra to us which was nice.He actually had the car ready for me to pick up the same day that I had dropped it off. When I went to pick up my vehicle I was surprised again as I discovered that the inside was vacuumed and wiped down.
Tips
Shop around when fixing a universal joint. The dealer wanted $400 for just the joint not including the oil change and tire rotation. Usually in my opinion finding a good mechanic and sticking with them is a great idea. After a while you have a relationship with a mechanic you can trust. I would also suggest taking your vehicle for routine checks. My wife and I were not aware that are tires were in need of rotation and if we had waited much longer we may have needed to replace our tires completely.
