Description of service
Replacement of brake pads and ground rotors due to driving the vehicle too long after the brakes were worn out. I heard the breaks grind, but did not think it was a big deal. Turns out I'd ground the breaks in to the rotors, which is a serious problem, and results in the rotors needing to be completely replaced.
Review of Service
Excellent service, very helpful in explaining the problem and ways to prevent it from re-occuring. I felt at ease throughout the entire process. I would definitely recommend them, as they helped very much in explaining everything, and in helping me understand what the problem was. In the event of a future car problem, I would definitely want to go back to the shop. Quite the consumate professionals. Excellent!
Tips
Take your car in to have the breaks checked every 10000 miles if you use it heavily, like in D C rush hour traffic. They even said they would check the pads for free. Definitely take the car in if you hear any sort of screech, as this may indicate that the rotors are being ground down. It's quite the expensive problem to fix, but is very inexpensive to prevent with proper monitoring.
