Description of service
I took my Nissan in to repair the clutch which seemed to be slipping and shaking a lot when shifting to second. Once they looked at the truck they gave me an estimate of $450 for parts, they said with a 10% discount and $550 for labor plus $77.14 in taxes.
They told me my clutch had to be replaced as well as the transmission because when I was pushing down to change gears the engine was not disengaging from the transmission like it is supposed to and that was the cause to the shaking and jerking I felt.
Review of Service
Besides not knowing too much about the internal workings of cars/trucks I do feel like the mechanic and garage were very informative and helpful. They went out of their way to explain everything in detail (maybe too much detail) and did not have a problem with me asking a ton of questions. I did have to leave my truck overnight but for everything they explained that they had to do, it didn't seem too bad. When I picked up my truck the next day, they had washed it and even took my out on a test drive to make sure before paying that the problem had been fixed and it was. I got a 1 year warranty for the work.
Tips
Make sure the mechanic doing the work takes the time to explain everything. It is a lot of money for something you can't even see but what a difference.
