Description of service
Both of the tail lights were stolen off of this truck during the night. We took the truck to the repair shop the next night. They had to keep the truck for three days while they ordered the replacement tail lights and then installed them. This included wiring them to all of the switches on the dash for the tail lights, the turning signal and the brake lights. The cost was a little over $300 per light plus an installation fee.
Review of Service
The service was great. The lights were the same as the ones that had been there to start with. They worked fine once they were hooked up. The repair shop gave a written estimate of the cost of parts and labor and never tried to change that price. They told us up front that they did not have the lights in stock and would have to hold the truck for two to three days while they ordered the parts before they could put them in. That was how long it took and they called to say the truck was ready.
Tips
I would recommend getting everything in writing up front. Also, if the estimate seems high, call a few more shops and compare. Also, ask how long it will take before they can start the work not just how long the work will take to complete.
