Description of service
One morning I was surprised to find that my 2005 Pontiac G6 would not start. It would just sputter and not fire the engine. I checked the spark plugs and they appeared to be giving a spark but still the engine would not turn over. I suspected the fuel but had no choice but to take it to an auto repair shop. I had a friend tow me to a auto repair shop that was not far from my home.
I asked a national auto repair co to diagnose why my problem with my 2005 Pontiac G6. The warranty had just expired and I had to be the cost of the diagnosis and repair myself. I had assumed it was something with the fuel system since it appeared to be getting a spark from the spark plugs. But because of the advanced systems that are used in these new computerized engine I was unable to find out the problem. They came back and stated that my fuel pump and assembly failed and needed to be replaced.
Review of Service
The total cost of the service with labor was around $400.00. Pretty steep price to pay but needed. The service writer was very informative and even showed me the old pump once it was taken out of the vehicle. They completed the repair in about 1 and a half hours and the vehicle was complete.
Tips
The unexpected repair cost was the most agonizing. Not much to give as a tip here since I had no choice or opportunity to shop around.
