Description of service
My drivers side power window would not work because the switch inside of the door panel was burned out. I took my car to a local mechanic who had ordered the part for my car a few days earlier after a brief phone call. He replaced the old switch with the new one and my window worked like new.
Review of Service
I was very pleased with the service. It only took the mechanic about twenty minutes to perform the repair. He had the part when he told me that he would and started working on my car at the scheduled time. The receptionist at the garage made me feel at home and even offered me a cup of coffee. The mechanic also informed me of the two year warranty that came with the new part. I have not had any problems with my window since I had the repair done.
Tips
When you need I repair done to your car consider using an independent mechanic instead of the dealership. I called the dealership prior to calling the garage and the same service would have costed me $95 more. If you do not have a mechanic that you use and trust already ask your friends who they use. This is a great way to save money and the waiting is usually less.
