the Cost of Pontiac Repair

I needed a new alternator put in my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix GT. I was in sort of a hurry to get the job done since my family and I were planning on taking a vacation in the following month that required a six hundred mile drive. Needless to say my car was the only one available for the trek.

I was very unsatisfied with the service that I recieved. I called the dealership where I had bought the car used three years prior and scheduled an appointment for the following week. When I brought the car in on the scheduled day they told me they would not be able to take it for three more days but it would be a one day fix. I brought the car back three days later in the morning and was told to pick it up at 4p.m. At 3 o'clock I got a call saying it would not be ready till the following day which made me miss a day of work since they would not provide a loaner car to me.

When getting a repair done to your car get estimates from different shops. I have been told that I payed way to much to get an alternator changed. Also ask for the used parts to make sure that they actually did what they are billing you for.
