Description of service
I had my Pontiac Sunfire from quite some time now and thanks to god i never had much of a problem with it. Some time back it had a little wear and tear in my brakes, something had broken on the back set of brakes and had leaked on the brake pads. This repair ran about $240. They let me know the front brake pads had about 30% of their life left so i went on to get them repaired too which added to the cost and it finally reached about $465 including labor and oils changed.
Review of Service
The service was quick. What I really appreciated was the fact that the mechanic showed me how the brakes looked and then showed me the new pads. I was astonished at how bad I had allowed mine to get, but was thankful that the originals were obviously very high quality.I had always been told foreign cars were expensive to repair or maintain, but so far that has not been the case with my Pontiac.
Tips
I'd definitely recommend that anyone dealing with an older model Pontiac strongly consider whether it's worth fixing up. Also find out ahead of time how long you will be without your vehicle. Independent mechanics often overbook, which means that while they'll accept your vehicle for work, they may not actually be able to start on it that day. Sometimes they can start on it the day you leave it, but it may be towards the end of the day.
