Description of service
Last month, February 2009, I replaced the timing belt, water pump, tensioners, and all of the seals on my 2001 Toyota Camry Solara. The mechanic charged forty dollars an hour and spent five hours working on the project.
Review of Service
This guy is amazing! My car is almost ten years old. It has almost one hundred ninety thousand miles on it. I fully expected him to give me a huge laundry list of things that needed to be addressed immediately. Instead, he did the job that needed to be done looked everything else over and reported that the car was in great shape.
Tips
I searched all over the Los Angeles area for the best price from a mechanic that has a reputation of honesty and integrity. This guy is the best. He doesn't advertise. He depends on word of mouth. I am telling everyone I know about him. If you are in need of a new timing belt, I strongly suggest replacing your water pump, tensioners, and seals as well. They are all located in the same hard to get to place in your engine. You can save a lot of labor costs by replaceing everything at the same time instead one by one.
