Description of service
Fuel Door and Trunk Release levers by drivers feet failed due to fluid in the cable housing area freezing, causing cable to snap when fuel door was attempted to be opened. Service included disassemble driver side interior of car in order to get to cable, draining excess fluid in the area, removing broken cable, installing new cable, testing new cable, and reassembly of driver side interior. Majority of payment was for labor, as the part was cheap, but it was labor intensive to get to its location to replace it.
Review of Service
I use this automobile repair center regularly for most of my car repair and servicing needs, they are familiar with me and my car. Car was diagnosed one evening, and unfortunately it took several days to get the part in, which I felt was bad form. Thankfully the car was drivable during this time. Once part was received the repair took an entire day, which was fine, although I do wish the repair facility had a loaner car available. Work was completed when promised, and has functioned properly since.
Tips
`If you need automotive repair, I would either utilize a garage that you are comfortable with and already have a working relationship with, or I would get recommendations from neighbors and multiple price quotes.
