Description of service
Somehow I broke the sway bar on the front passenger side. My father recommended a mechanic that he has a relationship with and trusts. The gentleman diagnosed the problem and quickly went to work to fix the issue. The part cost me one hundred dollars. The installation cost an additional sixty dollars.
Review of Service
I was impressed with this gentleman. He is extremely knowledgeable and kind. He went the extra mile to answer all of my questions. The price for the part was pretty consistent with other vendors that I found. His installation price I feel was a little high. He charges forty dollars an hour. I was billed for an hour and a half thus the sixty dollar charge. I do not have a problem with the rate, but I do not know that it should have taken a full ninety minutes to install. Never the less, I was not displeased with the experience.
Tips
I was happy to pay, what I thought was, a little more because I had the peace of mind that I was not going to be taken advantage of. The best tip I can offer is find a mechanic that you have confidence in. Ask trusted friends and family that have your best interest in mind.
