Description of service
I took my pick up truck in to get the AC fixed and working to sell it. The heat worked but the ac did not. Also, the lights on the dash were not working so we got those fixed too. We took it to a guy in town that has a 6 bay shop. He kept the truck for about 2 weeks. In the end, something was wrong with the alternator and the lights.
Review of Service
I feel that the quality of service that we received was efficient and successful. The guy called us every step of the way and communicated with us about what was wrong and what he thought needed to happen. But when we said not to fix another part that would make our bill more expensive he was completely considerate of that. I guess the only thing I could possibly not like about the service was the location. I would love it if the shop were closer to my home, but it's in our path on our way to common places. I felt that the price was understandable considering parts and labor.
Tips
Ask around for references for a mechanic others have used and trust. Ask a couple of people what they think the problem might be if you don't have an idea yourself. That way you know what to tell the mechanic.
