Description of service
My battery wasn't holding a charge, so I needed it tested. Testing showed that it was bad and needed to be replaced.
Review of Service
The employee brought his battery testing equipment out to my van in front of the store and checked my battery. It wouldn't fully charge after I had driven it about 3 miles, so he took the battery out and put it on their "cooker", a battery super-charger. The cooker couldn't even get it charged, so I wound up having to buy a whole new battery.
The employee was very helpful. He was missing equipment on his testing tray and ended up taking a little longer than usual getting the battery out, but he was polite and didn't complain once about having to work on my battery in ten degrees with windchill.
The clerk at the counter was also courteous, and recommended a battery that wasn't the cheapest, but did come with a ninety-day free-replacement warranty. Overall I was very pleased with the service.
Tips
The first tip is that when your car isn't starting for you, don't keep trying to start it for too long. If it's trying to turn over but fails, it drains what's left of your battery.
If your battery is too far gone, you won't even be able to jump start it with someone else's battery.
