I needed to get my serpentine belt replaced on my 2002 Ford Ranger Pickup because it was starting to wear out and become cracked. The mechanics also gave me a free oil change, and checked all of my fluid levels.

The work was done quickly; I dropped my car off in the morning and picked it up later in the early afternoon. The employees were also very helpful and courteous. They explained in great detail why they needed to replace the serpentine belt, how long the process would take, and gave me the correct estimate of how much the work would cost in the end. The quality of the workmanship was also very good, it did not suffer because of the short quantity of time needed to make the repairs. It's been about two months since I had the repairs done, and the belt has held up well; nothing has gone wrong with the car. In the end, I feel like a got a good deal, and quality service.
Tips
I would shop around to make sure you're getting a good deal before you actually make a decision regarding which mechanic to go to. Dealerships also tend to charge you more, so avoid those places unless you have no choice.
