Description of service
The starter went out on our F-150, and it is something my husband would generally replace himself. However, he was too busy, so he brought it to a shop to have it fixed. It sat in the shop for three days before it was repaired. Thank goodness we had other means of transportation! The total cost was just over three hundred dollars, and it would have been a lot less if my husband had been able to repair it himself.
They also do auto repair, towing, auto-body repair, collision repair, estimates, towing, diagnostics, general service and tune-ups.
Review of Service
The service was not outstanding. I am not sure we got the best deal, especially considering the lousy service we received when we were getting it fixed. Phone calls were not returned regarding when it would be ready, and the mechanic tried telling me there was something else wrong with the truck--there wasn't--it was just the starter. Thank goodness my husband knows about cars and trucks, otherwise I would have been sinking a heck of a lot more money into the truck than what it was worth.
Tips
Go with your gut instincts when it comes to a mechanic. I was almost taken for hundreds more dollars. Go with somebody you trust. Ask friends or family if there is somebody they recommend--or if you can do it yourself, save yourself the headache of a shoddy mechanic!
