Description of service
In late 2007 we noticed that there was the smell of freon inside the cab of our truck. We took it down to our mechanic to have him look at the vehicle and see why we were having that smell in the cab. After looking at the car he told us that there was a freon line that ran behind the dash and it had a small leak in it, it was then leaking into the cab of the truck. The $450 broke down into $250 in parts to replace the line and add freon, and $200 in labor. The labor was just as much as the parts because the mechanic has to actually remove the entire dash of the vehicle to get the freon line.
Review of Service
The quality of the service was excellent, the mechanic quickly diagnosed the problem and informed us of this within the day. I liked that he began working on our vehicle immediately and also got back to us quickly. I don't know much about this repair but given the amount of work that he had to do in order to repair the freon line, i would say it was a good price, plus since then we have not had any problems with the freon line.
Tips
If you have any idea what so ever that you may need a repair, take it to your mechanic immediately. If you wait, it could cause further damage to your vehicle, and increase the cost of your repair.
