Description of service
The repair company was called in for a diagnostic house call to determine if the dishwasher could be serviced under warranty or not. The technician came to our home and was here for approximately 45 minutes. During that time, he determined that something was stuck in the cycle. He was able to reset the switch after a fairly short time. He also had time to check for other common problems while the dishwasher went through it's diagnostic cycle. The payment was for the house call. It did not include any parts, so it was a good thing that no parts were needed.
Review of Service
The repair man knew exactly what to do, once we told him the problem we had experienced. He was ready to go to work and it turned out that the simplest and cheapest problem was what we had. Apparently all we needed was a reset. He did not know what happened to cause the problem, and that was a disappointment. We had hoped to find out how to avoid this in the future, since we did not do anything different that we could recall. However, my husband was able to see how to reset the cycle if it happens again, so that was a nice bonus. The technician was courteous and quick.
Tips
Try to pay attention to what the repair man does when he is working on your appliance. This will makes things easier to describe if the problem should happen again. Also, you may be able to make the repair yourself, if it is something simple.
