Description of service
I have a full console stainless steel 24 inch dishwasher. Since the few days before I got it serviced, it failed to take in water for washing the dishes. And lately it even failed to start sometimes. On calling a local service center, they found some parts needing replacement including a valve/filter and an inner belt/cable. So the service included cost of spares and their labor charges for replacement at home.
Review of Service
The service was prompt. On calling them up regarding the problem, the serviceman came within the day. He did not have spares on hand during the first visit and so had to go back for them. The parts were replaced the very next day and hence my machine was back up and running within 1 and half day flat. The service center was amicable and I feel they charged reasonably considering that it took almost 90 minutes for the job.
Tips
When any appliance breaks down, the cost of repairs is always much high if it is out of warranty. Though I was charged only eighty dollars, I feel considering the price of the machine (around 400$), it is quite steep a charge. But well since it is relatively new and I did not want to rush out and buy a new machine without doing research, I just went for the repairs.
