the Price of Dishwasher Repair

repair service to my home for my dishwasher. Price included parts and labor, as well as initial estimate of repairs.

The service was horrible. Nothing in the world is worse than waiting for a repairman. I was given a three-hour window in which the repairman would arrive, which of course didn't happen. The repairman finally arrived the next day after repeated phone calls to the shop. He told me he had the part to fix the dishwasher, but he didn't have it on his truck, so he would have to go back to the shop to get it. He never came back that day. The next day he came back, fixed the dishwasher in about five seconds, and then charged $150 for the repair. The dishwasher is working now, so I suppose it was worth the price because it was cheaper than buying a new dishwasher, but the headache it caused was frustrating. I will never use that service again--instead I will fix it myself, or purchase a new dishwasher.

Ask if anybody you know can fix a dishwasher before calling in a repairman, unless you are ready for a headache! Otherwise, find out if there is anybody your friends or family really trust as far as appliance repair. I wish I had asked around a bit more before using the repairman I did.
