the Price of Dishwasher Repair

The service I recieved was the repair of an older model dishwasher. The dishwasher was not getting my dishes clean and I thought it may need a part replaced or just a check up. I contatced someone straight out of the phone book. No quote was given at the time of my phone call. My reciept after the repairman was there for two hours included parts I did not see him use and a labor charge. He said he replaced a hose and a belt.

I believe the person that was dispatched to my home was unprofessional. I was not given any information about what was to be done or how it much it would cost prior to the repair. I felt as if that was inconsiderate. I was not prepared to pay that much money. I felt as if I was grossly overcharged for the repair and I will not have a professional come out again. Next time I will research the appliance online or get a family member to help.

I would make sure you get a firm price before anyone ever comes to your home. I was charged too much for the dispatch alone. And the parts that was replaced could have been bought by me for at least 40% cheaper. Also, get references from the company before you let them come into your home.
