Description of service
The service that I received was a complete diagnostic of my car and transmission to determine what the problem was exactly.
Review of Service
I felt that I received an honest and detailed opinion that was properly researched in order to find out what the problem was with my car. I was without my car for two days, but I was kept current on their progress. I really liked that I was quoted a certain price for diagnostics that was reasonable. I also liked that they did not tack on unnecessary things on the repair lists. The mechanic was focused and honest about what was a priority and what was not. I was able to verify his opinions by getting second and third opinions via other repair shops regarding my transmission. I really don't have any complaints about my diagnostic experience with my Honda Civic. The price I was quoted to fix the problem seemed a little steep, but the warranties included would have covered any possible problems, which was comforting to know.
Tips
I would advise any person that has a Honda with transmission problems or otherwise to seek out a service station that specializes in foreign cars. Also, while you want to find out what is wrong with the transmission as soon as possible, don't overpay for diagnostics. And always get at the very least two to three different opinions on what is wrong. Even while I was under the last months of my warranty, I wish I had gotten a second and third opinion.
