Description of service
I purchased a 1988 Honda CRX after being in a car accident in February. Since it was an older car I knew it would take some work and being so old I was hoping it would be relatively cheap. Upon further inspection I learned that it needed a new starter, a new fuel pump relay, a front bumper, one brake light repaired, and the reverse light repaired.
Review of Service
I took my car to a place in my hometown that I knew would do amazing work at a rock bottom price. The work took about four hours which is a while to wait but at least I didn't have to drop my car off and leave it there for days. I had purchased a used bumper from a friend of mine who drives the same car so all I had to do was pay an installation fee for that. The rest of my parts were relatively cheap and so was my labor. Im glad that I didn't just try to find brand new parts and take it to an expensive body shop. I got my car fixed in record time and saved a lot of money.
Tips
If at all possible purchase used parts. Go to a lesser known mechanic in town, but be sure to do your research first and make sure that they are reputable. In this tough economy it's always possible to get a great deal.
