Description of service
This is the price we recently paid to have our Honda CRV repaired. The problem was the driver's side window. The motor had gone out, so the window would not operate at all. The cost included all fees associated with the repair, including the replacement parts, fees for labor, and taxes. The repair took about two days to complete, but would have taken a shorter amount of time if they would have had the part in stock.
Review of Service
I believe the price we paid was a bit high, but all car repairs seem to cost more these days. Unfortunately, we tried to fix the motor ourselves to save a few dollars at first. We went to our local auto parts store and purchased a motor for $100. Neither of us are mechanically inclined though, and we made a bigger mess than we had in the beginning. The mechanics at the shop were friendly and helpful, and we all had a good laugh about our attempt at fixing the window. Overall, I think the price was a bit high, but at least my window works now!
Tips
Car repair is harder than it looks! Try to find a good mechanic in your area who has reasonable rates.
