Description of service
I go to a group pilates class that meets twice a week most of the year. There is one instructor or leader who has been doing it for at least 2 years. She instructs as you go along and she demonstrates the moves as she is describing what to do. Everyone brings their own mat, because it would be a health hazard to provide them at the class. It is about 45 minutes with warm up and stretching.
Review of Service
The instructor does a great job of explaining how to adjust the moves to your level of fitness and experience. She helps every level of exerciser achieve their goals according to their ability. She is good at giving motivation as you go along and helping each of us visualize what we are doing and how to reach the goals we set. The studio is very basic, but it has good light and ventilation, so everyone is happy.
Tips
Ask for recommendations from friends and co-workers so you will find an instructor that will suit your needs. Call ahead and ask to audit the class or observe a class before getting started on a program. Not every instructor is a fit for you and if you don't connect with the instructor, you will probably not stick with it.
